I’d be interested in learning more about effectiveness of QR Code in compared to alternatives like SnapTags. Despite the rise in QR Code visibility, actual use seems limited. I’ve read that only 30% of people in US own smart phones, and only 30% of them use CR codes to scan contact info from business cards, go to a website or find a business location. They don’t actually let you do anything right away. Visually they are not appealing. SnapTags use company logos and are visually appealing and memorable. They require no app installation and activation to use. Just point camera and shoot. They work on dumb phones as well as smart phones. Are QR Codes a passing fad?
